Dog Adoption

We have a special interest in finding the right homes for dogs in transition.  Our goal is to find appropriate homes based on the needs and lifestyles of potential adopters and the dogs in our care.   We have our own adoption program and we do foster dogs for local humane societies.  For fostered dogs, interested persons need to contact the appropiate shelter to begin the adoption process. Please see the some of the videos at the bottom of the page of the dogs in our care.  For dogs in our program, an  Adoption Application  can be completed and faxed to us at (715) 237-2587. To meet any of the dogs, please call us to schedule an appointment.

FOSTERED PETS - Available for Adoption

We always have several great dogs in our foster program that are available for adoption through local humane societies.   If you are considering an addition to your family, please consider adoption.  Our dog population can change on a daily basis, so please contact us at (715) 237-3020 if you are looking to adopt.

Dogs in our care receive individual attention and training so we get to know their individual personalities and needs.  We generally have dogs of all energy and training levels, our goal is successful placements; we can help you find the "right" match!  There is a good chance we have just what you are looking for!   We work with several breeds, ages, and temperaments.  Couch potato to agility prospect, Small to large, we have it all!

We currently foster several dogs at any given time for the Humane Society of Barron County as well as dogs from neighboring counties. We offer a FREE, 45 minute lesson to anyone who adopts any dog through the Humane Society of Barron County, or any dog fostered with us from another shelter!

Maia (My-A) is a sweet and loving young female.  She is a unique mix of German Shorthair Pointer, Alaskan Husky, and some Saluki.

Sleek and beautiful, Maia has brains and beauty.  She is an active dog and would love a home where she receives lots of interaction and attention.

Maia is about 8 months old and is available for adoption through the Humane Society of Barron County.  She is currently being fostered at Northwoods Animal Learning Center.   She has three littermates with her: Darby, Quinn, and Nuka.

Darcy and Sassy arrived at the Humane Society of Barron County together and we would love to see them go to their new home together!

They are both 4 year old females.   Darcy (yellow) is very friendly, but she is a little less energetic that Sassy.   Both our very playful and social.

Have room for twice the love?  If so, please contact the Humane Society of Barron County!
